Technology & Bastet Tech
The Mahotani are skilled adopters, traders, scavengers, and modifiers of technology. Their ports and ships may contain devices from half a dozen cultures, all repaired, altered, and repurposed to suit their needs. They are less concerned with technological purity than usefulness. Navigation systems, communication tools, transformation collars, ship engines, imported firearms, and experimental devices are common among wealthier Mahotani crews. Their greatest strength is adaptability. A Mahotani engineer may not have invented a machine, but there is a good chance they can repair it, improve it, or make it do something its original creator never intended.
